Every 2 minutes someone is sexual assaulted. Some say the numbers are actually higher. It could be close to every minute.
Who is sexually assaulted?
Sexual assault includes:
- Child sexual abuse
- Attempted rape
- Obscene phone calls
- Sexual harassment
Has any of this happened to you? If it has, please do not think you are strong enough to handle it alone. You were a victim of a heinous act. Why do victims of sexual assault choice to deal with what happened alone? There are many reasons: Sometimes the perpetrator has threatened the victim or manipulated them to remain quite. Often the victim feels alone, that their character is questionable, while others feel that if they push it out of their mind, the fact they have been violated will go away.
